Retrieval of tropospheric water vapour
Tropospherical water vapour profiles are retrieved from total power spectra derived by tipping calibration. This approach is still under test. The following plots show the latest results compared with other data:- MIAWARA-retrieval using total power spectra (2h average)
- profiles from balloon soundings performed at Payerne twice a day (regridded to MIAWARA altitude grid)
- reanalysis-data from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF)
- data from the Atmospheric Infrared Sounder (AIRS) on Aqua-satellite (∼two overpasses per day)
