Opacity and integrated water vapour (IWV)

The tipping calibration delivers the opacity of the troposphere, which can be used to calculate the integrated water vapour ( Deuber et al. 2005).

Opacity for the last ten days as derived from tipping curve measurements (each 15 min., mean over entire bandwidth, 21.7-22.7 GHz)
Integrated water vapour amount (IWV) derived from MIAWARA opacity compared with IWV measurements from another microwave radiometer (TROWARA) located in Bern.
Integrated water vapour amount (IWV) derived from MIAWARA opacity compared with IWV from GPS station (ID 190) at Zimmerwald for the last 3 months.
